Hi I'm Seth Brown

I'm a Carolinian, I'm a Missionary, I love life and everything in between, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

First off I was born in Utah to amazing parents. When I was younger we moved to Pennsylvania for my dad's schooling, and then ended up moving to South Carolina. Growing up I played tons of baseball, and basketball, and eventually lacrosse. During my school years I played percussion in our middle, and high school bands. I love music! I love spending time with my close friends, and family. I love to laugh and joke around (my family can agree to that.) I am very adventurous and spontaneous. I am currently in Brasil! I will be serving my mission this May 2013-2015 and am completely ecstatic to go serve the people of Brazil! (And Spokane)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family, and was raised accordingly. I am so grateful for their influences on me in my life. It's been a blessing to me that my parents, and my family weren't the reasons I was converted to the gospel. But because it was on my own. In my own life, I started to want to gain my own testimony, and to find my own roots. It started with an invite to read the Book of Mormon. And since then as I've gotten older I have had so many crazy things happen in my life that I cannot possibly deny this gospel. It's so wonderful. I know that this church was Restored by a prophet Joseph Smith. I am so thankful for him! I know we have a Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that he knows us personally. And that he loves us! I know we have a Father in Heaven. He loves us so much, that He sent His Son to save us. I am happy to know that I have discovered this on my own. This is a living gospel. And I know that it's my obligation to share it with everyone.

How I live my faith

I find it easy to live my faith because I am surrounded by great people. My family, and of course my mission ward, and my home ward. I love my wards! I was and am completely blessed to be surrounded by such great people. In my ward back home I had two callings, I taught the Gospel Principles class for new members, and I also had a calling with the young men as a teacher, and scout leader. I also taught a mission prep class that was created and is run by some of the older youth, any future missionaries, and returned missionaries. It was awesome. Before my mission I loved to go out with the missionaries and help them teach others. I've had lots of sweet experiences that I am glad to have had with the Missionaries. I now serve as a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have learned the Portuguese Language preparing for my own mission to Manaus, Brazil at the MTC in Provo Utah. I have been in the field since June 17th and am always stoked to share what I know with others! As a missionary I live my faith by teaching and serving others around me. I have began to learn more, and I have been practicing applying Christ-like attributes. It's been truly humbling to know and apply these things especially while serving a mission.
