Hi I'm Alan

I grew up all over the United States of America. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to camp, hike, and hang out with my friends. I graduated high school in 2011(two years early) and believe that you should try your hardest with everything you do. I went to college for a couple of years to discover what my interests are and I fount out that I really love to learn. When you're learning new things I feel that you are more engaged in life and really making yourself a better person. I also feel that as you learn new things in life you are better preparing yourself for the future and what it hold for you. I can't count the number of times this has proven true for me, some small insignificant thing that I learned at some point in my life has helped out in a big way, for example, just knowing how to problem solve (something I never considered a learned skill) has really helped me both at work and currently on my mission. So yeah the other thing about me is I'm currently serving a 2 year mission in the Boston Massachusetts area and loving every minute of it! Everyday is a new experience and everyday I get to help people out in a variety of different ways, it's something a really glad I chose to do. And when I eventually go home I plan on going back to college and getting a degree in maybe IT security. After that I'd love to start a family and continue serving other's for the rest of my life. It's something that really makes me happy, and it's something I wouldn't have believed until I tried it. So my motto, Serve someone! It really works two ways!

Why I am a Mormon

I am mormon because everything they teach seems to be for the betterment of me and the people around me. A main theme with being a mormon is service and when I serve I feel better then any other time of the day. In fact serving is pretty much the best thing you can do because when you finish you feel good about yourself and know you accomplished something of value.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my callings in my youth group. Every sunday I go visit the elderly with one other member of my youth group to assist them with things they can no longer do on their own.
