Hi I'm Jarom

I'm from Centerville, Utah. I'm a missionary in Georgia. I love music and sports. I love Christ. You'd better believe I'm Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Centerville, Utah. I have 9 brothers and sisters, and every single one of them is my best friend. My friends are awesome. I love sports, especially football. I love music, and I love camping and backpacking. I served in the South Carolina, Columbia Mission and am now serving in the Georgia, Macon Mission. I've also been known to eat pizza.

Why I am a Mormon

It has brought me more happiness than anything else in life can. In the world today there are many people that live to be entertained, with no real vision of who they are or who they want to become. I know who I am, why I am here, and what my divine destiny is. I have no unanswered questions. It has shaped me into the person I am, and continues to shape me into a better person. I have received an undeniable witness of the truthfulness of the Gospel, the Church, and the reality of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. The biggest reason I know the Church is true is from The Book of Mormon. I have read it many times, and it is as clear as day to me that it is true. I know with all my heart that it is true. I love the teachings, the stories, the prophets, the examples, and the struggles that are contained in it. They make me want to be a more Christlike person. I love the doctrinal clarity that it gives. All of the promises contained in the book, most notably Moroni's Promise (Moroni 10:4-5) have been fulfilled in my life as I have put them to the test. I know by the power of the Holy Ghost the truthfulness and the authority of The Book of Mormon. But most of all I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ, and love being a part of His church.

How I live my faith

I think the best way to live our faith is to strive always to be a good person, to love and care about others, and to serve others. To continually work to improve ourselves and do our best to become like Jesus Christ, to do and say the things that he would. While heaven knows I'm far from perfect, these are the things I try to do.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Jesus Christ didn't get paid for preaching the Gospel, so neither should we. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is another testament to the divinity of Jesus Christ. Just like the Bible, it was written by Prophets, but the Book of Mormon was written in the ancient Americas. It goes hand in hand with the Bible to clarify doctrine, so there is "one lord, one faith, and one baptism" just as the Bible teaches, and as evidence of the Restoration. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

The only one whom you can trust without question is our Heavenly Father, so the obvious answer is to ask him. If you ask him sincerely, and if you intend to act on the answer you receive, you will get an answer by the power of the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
