Hi I'm Elizabeth Noker

I'm a friend, a daughter, a big sister, a missionary, a crafter, and I am a Mormon

About Me

I was born and raised in LaVista Nebraska. I'm the 3rd child of 6 kids, and the oldest of 3 daughters. I love my family and am grateful for the knowledge I have that I will be able to be with them forever. I'm currently serving an 18 month mission in Ontario Canada and, when I return home, plan on going to school to become an archeologist. I love creating things and helping others to learn what I've learned. My friends call me a "truck-chick", though I'm not a farm girl. I've a passion for all of God's creations and the opportunity to be outside admiring what He has done. When I'm not crafting, exploring or working, you'll almost always find my nose in a book.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but I was never forced into going to church every Sunday, it was always my choice. Over the years I came to understand this choice that I was making each week. At first I thought my parents were making me go, but they weren't. Eventually I prayed and asked God if attending this church was really what he wanted me to do or if I was just blindly following my parents in a direction he didn't want me to go. Quickly, I received an answer from Heavenly Father that let me know that I was making the right choice by attending The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints each Sunday and that the Book of Mormon truelly is the writings of His prophets, along with the Bible. Because I've been given this wonderful gift and testimony, I have chosen to serve as a missionary in Canada and am enjoying being able to share what I have come to know with those I meet!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to do what Christ taught and showed us to do: live the Gospel. I strive to have faith in Jesus Christ and act on that faith by sharing it with others. When I make mistakes I seek God's forgiveness and that of those whom I might have hurt. I want to always keep the commandments that we've been given so I study the scriptures to know what I must do and I constantly work to follow what the Holy Ghost, or Holy Spirit, prompts me to do. I know that as we each work to be the best we can be Heavenly Father will bless us for our diligence and obedience.
