Hi I'm Tatum

I live in California. I'm a writer. I like cats. I will be serving a mission in Lima, Peru. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Tatum. I am 20 years old. I am studying English in College. My dream in life is to write a novel and get it published. I am one middle child of five. I am preparing to serve a mission in Lima, Peru. I enjoy cats, baking and knitting. And I work as a cashier at a baby store.

Why I am a Mormon

Sometimes life is difficult, in fact, a lot of times life is difficult. The gospel has been a sort of anchor for me, it keeps me grounded and on the right track to help me avoid as many difficulties I can without taking away my life's progression and spiritual learning that I need to go through while on this Earth. Faith in my Savior, Jesus Christ, and in His Atonement is what truly has shaped me into who I am today. He inspires me to get out of bed in the morning and to strive to have the best day that I can, to treat people as He would treat them. And when I have those difficult days in my life, which we all have, I keep Christ in my heart, remember all he's done for me and just the thought lessens the load. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints and the people that I have met in this church through out my life have helped strengthen that faith that I have in Christ. And that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

As mentioned above, I am serving a mission soon. I leave in May. Through this experience I have been able to share with non-member friends and family why I have made this decision and about my faith. I also plan the activities for my singles ward which gives me the opportunity to fellowship with those of my community, members and non-members alike, by planning fun and safe activities that young adults can participate in.
