Hi I'm Steve

I grew up in Utah. I enjoy spending time with family and friends doing outdoor activities.

About Me

I am a father and grandfather. I have 3 children, 2 sons and 1 daughter. Currently I have 7 grandchildren. Our family enjoys getting together for most holidays and we usually will take a family vacation together every year. I enjoy both snow skiing and water skiing as well as other outdoor activities. I served active duty in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era and 24 years in the Navy Reserve.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Morman Church by loving parents. There came a time in my life, for instance, when I was in the military or in my occupation and traveling with others that did not share my religious beliefs that I need to find out the truthfulness of the gospel. I read the Book of Morman, Bible, and other religious literature. I pondered these and prayed many times about the truthfulness of the Morman teachings. I received answers to these questions over time with warm and calming feelings. I wish I could say I heard a voice telling me what I should hear but the calming feeling and my increasing understanding which I believe was through the gift of the Holy Ghost increased my testimony to where now I know the Gospel of Jesus is true and has been reveled in today's time by modern prophets.

How I live my faith

My wife and I attend our church meetings regularly. When out of town, if possible, we try to attend church locally in the area. I have been involved and enjoyed working with the youth. I have been a scout master, cub scout den leader, instructor, and had other various assignments working with the young men generally in their teenage years. I strive to be good neighbor and friend, helping others in our community regardless of their religious affiliation.
