Hi I'm Britt

"I'm a small town girl. I'm a history nerd and a traveler. I'm a Mormon."

About Me

I have moved around quite a bit, so I wouldn't say I'm "from" any place in particular. But home is where the heart is! Because of moving, I learned to love traveling and how to make friends wherever I go! I love nature, reading, writing, history, movies, music, theater, and napping. All of those things made up my college degree - Humanities! My spare time is usually spent with my family. They mean absolutely everything to me! I'm the youngest of 5 girls and we always try to have fun when we spend time together! And I love being an aunt! :) And a recent newlywed! My family taught me what is important in this life; education, family, and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Without those 3 things, I wouldn't be who I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

The longer I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the more it makes sense! I've wandered from the gospel's path and made mistakes in my life but with guidance from others, prayer, and a willingness to submit to God's will - I have become who I am and I know what I have to do to have everlasting happiness in this life and the life to come. I know that I am a daughter of God and that He loves me no matter what. He wants us to return back to His presence someday. The way to return is through the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that families can be together forever, without that knowledge my life would not have as much meaning. My family means everything to me! There is such comfort in knowing that I can be with them forever and that bond will never break. I know that the Atonement of Jesus Christ can redeem you from your sins and bring you such comfort that you never imagined as it has in my life. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that I learned who my Savior is by reading its pages and praying to know if it true. I know the Book of Mormon was translated by the prophet Joseph Smith and that he restored Christ's true church back on the earth. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is God's prophet who guides us and directs us back to Heavenly Father. I know that God answers prayers - in His time and in His way but He always answers. I know that God has a path for each of us to follow and he will guide you, as you turn your life over to him. Let Him lead you - He knows better than you do what you can become through His grace and power.

How I live my faith

I'm a returned sister missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-say Saints. Every day I have the opportunity to show my love for someone. The Savior said, "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." (John 13:34-35) I try to help others feel of his love and the love of our Father in Heaven. I also love to read the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon! I have learned more about how to have faith and who God wants me to be from those pages. When I have questions, hard times, or just the need of a random pick me up - I turn to the scriptures. And they always help!
