Hi I'm Silas

I was born in St. Charles, Missouri. I want to be a doctor. I'm a Latter-day Saint.

About Me

I moved to Utah when I was 7. I played football and wrestled in high school. I volunteered at the Utah State Developmental Center for a while. I like hunting, riding horses, and being in the mountains. I am a student now at BYU studying Physiology and Developmental Biology with hopes to make it into medical school some day.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints offers truth to the world. Jesus Christ has reigned as the God of His people throughout history. He was with Adam in the Garden, He walked with Enoch in Zion, He counseled Noah to build an arch, He covenanted with Abraham, He parted the sea for Moses, He came to earth to atone for our sins, and He appeared to Joseph Smith in a grove of trees. I know that He restored His gospel through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that the Book of Mormon is His word. He lived, and He lives; He spake, and He speaks. He wants us to be with Him; He wants us to be like Him. He has restored His gospel in these latter days to show us how to get back and become perfected.

How I live my faith

I am about to serve a two-year mission in Malaga Spain. I get to church each Sunday and get to learn from fellow members. Church gets better each week; I always think, "Wow! This week was the best. I can't imagine it getting any better," but those feelings are expired and surpassed with the next Sunday's meeting. I have done hometeaching where a companion and I will go into homes of fellow members and discuss the words of our living prophets and offer assistance with anything they need. The Holy Ghost always touches our meetings with peace.
