Hi I'm Tori de Hoyos

Lover of truth, light, and happiness. Full time Mormon missionary.

About Me

My name is Tori. Im a tall blonde with an affinity for knowledge and happiness. I come from a family containing 9 of the greatest people a kid could be blessed to grow up with. My parents and 7 siblings have blessed my life in ways I'll never be able to explain or repay. I grew up in a home centered on the gospel, filled with love and happiness, which has contributed in large part, to the person I am today. I cherish life, I truly do; God has been extremely good to me, and I would be lost without Him. Im all about living in and spreading optimism and positivism. Life is to be enjoyed, not simply endured. The gospel of Jesus Christ has changed my world, and in effect, has now BECOME my world. I love God and am currently serving in the beautiful Tennessee, Knoxville Mission, where I get to pay it forward.

Why I am a Mormon

Plain and simple? I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it's true. I am confident of that. I am a member because I love Jesus Christ and no church or organization has helped me gain as strong of a relationship with Him as this church has. This is Christs' gospel, his doctrine, his church. It is the only path that will get me to the destination that I am working towards, and that's not the only thing; I've never been more happy than when I am following the commandments and teachings that this gospel provides me with. Being a Mormon has allowed me countless opportunities to learn and grow, all of which have made me into the person I am today. It has helped me to develop my character in ways that I never thought possible. I'm a member because the world is full of confusion and varying opinions- I doubt that's going to change anytime soon- but The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides me with a solid rock to stand on; the doctrine never changes. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I continue to follow His gospel because it brings me real, lasting happiness, peace, and hope. This is Christs church restored on the earth, I know it, and I am proud to be a member of it; but more than anything else, I love my Savior, and am grateful to Him for His truth.

How I live my faith

Serving the Lord for 18 months in Knoxville Tennessee, and enjoying every minute of it!! I have the blessing and opportunity to teach people the beautiful truths of the Restored Gospel, and feel the Saviors love for them. There is nothing greater.
