Hi I'm Taylor Bugée

I'm a Georgian. I'm an aunt to 15 kids. and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Looking at my family, I stick out the most. I'm six feet tall and only one inch shorter than my dad. As a kid, there was a sense of accomplishment with being tallest in the class, and every night I prayed to be six feet tall to remind God. He answered it. I use to look up to my four older sisters(literally), but I eventually passed them all. My eldest sister calls me her "big/ little sister". I used my height to my advantage too. I played the typical tall person sport...BASKETBALL. I started playing later than most girls, but I learned quick and loved it. Some of my most important life lessons came from the basketball court. For example, life much like basketball is tough. It requires work. Hard work. It requires the necessary skills to not only make it through the first game, but also make it to the end of the season. However, the MOST important life lessons I EVER learned came from believing and following the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

As I mentioned earlier, my most important life lessons come from loving, believing, and following the gospel of Jesus Christ. It was not enough to just believe.Even though I grew up in the church, I had to find out for myself and follow through with it. I remember one day in particular when I was so upset that I didn't know for myself. I was 12 years old, and I wanted to know why it was so important to be a member of the church. I prayed and then read about Joseph Smith's first vision. I stared out my bedroom window, and my thoughts became clear. The warmth burned inside my heart, and I knew that Joseph Smith did see God, and that he was called to restore the truth to the Earth. The true church of Jesus Christ that was once lost was brought back. I knew that he was only a 14 year old boy with little schooling that was prepared to bring back the truth. Joseph Smith had God(Heavenly Father) on his side to help him fulfill God's plan. He was called like the prophets of old. Joseph was called during this critical time on earth because Heavenly Father knew there would be dark days to come, and we would need the light and truth to hold onto and give us strength. This is only one reason why I am Mormon.

How I live my faith

Every day is another chance to live up to the expectations that the Lord has for us. It's an opportunity to rely on him and learn daily. The Lord always provides, but we can be quick to forget. As I learned to rely, I learned how to take the steps of faith knowing that Heavenly Father had much in store. I always had this strong desire to serve my fellow men, and I am finally able to put that into action everyday as a full time missionary for the church. Let me just say- it's the happiest I've ever felt.
