Hi I'm Sue

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am retired and have been for three years. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired mother of three children and a grandmother of seven. I love to work in my yard in the summer, go for a 4 to 5 mile walk every day, read good books and spend time with my family. I have had the privilege of being abel to travel a lot since I have retired and I have really enjoyed that.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because, I believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ our savior. I also know that I have a Heavenly Father that loves me and knows who I am, he hears and answers my prayers daily. I know that I also have the spirit of the Holy Ghost with me to guide and direct me to safety if I am doing the things that I should be doing. I also know that if I am living the teachings of the gospel that I can be with my family eternally and return to live with my Father in Heaven again some day. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that I can use it as a daily guide to live the life that I should so I can live with my Heavenly Father again. I cannot begin to explain the joy and peace the gospel brings to my everyday life. I feel so blessed to have a living Prophet who counsels us to take the right direction in life. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ our beloved Savior amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a Christ like example. I love to do service for others whether it be taking meals into those in need, helping someone paint their home, do yard work, help at the food bank, sew clothes for a local hospital to use. When I was working I spent much time at the county jail helping inmates to get their diplomas or GED and I found that very fulfilling. I found it fulfilling because I could actually watch people turn their lives around and be productive members of society instead of living a life of crime. I try to be a good visiting teacher by showing the women I go to that I am their friend and I really do care about them.
