Hi I'm Michael

I am a young man of 18 preparing to go on a mission soon. I was born in Utah and i have lived in both Utah and Nevada.

About Me

I am an 18 year old young man who is 14 days away from leaving to the MTC (Missionary Training Center) in Provo Utah. My Mission is going to take place in the Boston Massachusetts mission area. I am so excited to have the privlage of serving my mission is such a historic part of our country. I also have the privlage to be apart of the spanish speaking mission. I am nervous beyond beliefe! But i know that i will be able to more fully understand the language and the gosple and to teach the people of Boston and wherever else i am called because it is the work of our Father in Heaven, and his work will be done.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been in this church since i was born. But that does not mean I havent had a choice. When we chose to come down to earth we gained what is called free agency. I excersize my right of free agency by choosing to be apart of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Commandments of my Heavenly Father. There is a spirit that you feel when you come into the churches or see the members of this church. It is a reverence and a calmness you wont find anywhere else. We believe that familes can be together forever. And one day I hope to have a family of my own that i can spend eternity with. There is a saying about missionarys that i have heard recently. It says, "Missionary, Someone who leaves their family for a short time, so others can be with their families for eternity." And there isn't a more true statement. We want everyone to experience the same peace and happiness that we experience. We set out to share the truth and love that our Savior has for us. So that others may have what we have and what our Father in Heaven wants for us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every week and participating in my callings such as home teaching every month with my companion and see the individual families in the ward and teach them and offer help in any way we can. I also help the missionarys attend a lesson with an investigator every now and then. I especially like the opportunity to set the example for the other young men in the ward. I enjoy helping to bring up the next generation and teach them the rights and wrongs or what is and is not important in life.
