Hi I'm Amanda Ricks

I'm a missionary in the Scotland/Ireland Mission. I love to sing, play the piano, and read books. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Youngest child, 4 nieces, 2.5 nephews, 4 siblings and 2 wonderful parents. I love missionary service, and I love talking to people about the things that make me happy. I love this gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for one simple reason: because I strongly believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the one and only true church on the earth today. I've been lucky enough to grown up with the gospel, and I am grateful for it everyday. My testimony came little by little. I didn't have a giant experience that testified of the truthfulness. Rather, I have had many different faith-promoting experiences that have eventually led me to conclude that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true, that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins, that Joseph Smith restored the church in these latter-days, and that the Book of Mormon is a book that God wants us to read.

How I live my faith

Everyday, as a missionary, I teach people about the gospel. There is no way I would be able to do this without faith. My faith pushes me everyday. I talk to strangers, I stop people on their way to work, I go into people's homes that I've never met before. All of these things are scary. But because of my faith in Jesus Christ, I am able to do them. I know that Jesus Christ can make things that seem impossible become possible if we rely on Him.
