Hi I'm Kaelan

I grew up in Idaho on a farm and ranch but currently moved back to Utah. I love service and I am a Mormon!

About Me

Hi! My name is Kaelan. I love outdoors and sports. I am currently getting ready to serve a full time mission in Texas! I just attended my first semester of college. My parents are divorced but my mom has remarried to my great step dad! My favorite activity is to ride my dirt bike! I spend most of my spare time riding or repairing ha. My current job is a framer. I grew up on our family farm and ranch which means the world to me and one day I hope to run it.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon.... I have been asked this question my whole life due to the fact that my real dad is not a member of the lds church. Being a member has been tough. My dad doesn't believe in the teachings and my beliefs have created tension between us now and again, but as a child I realized how much happier I was when I was doing what the Mormon church teaches us to do. When it came time for me to be baptized or not, my dad said if I did he would disown me. This was hard for me, especially since I was only 8 years old at the time. Through all my trials, arguments, and fights I have gotten in because I am a Mormon, have really tried my testimony. At times I have felt like giving up or weak or not good enough, but every time I go to church or read my scriptures the Holy Ghost always gives me a sweet warm prompting that something better is out there watching over me and helping me along the way. With that being said I haven't always been the best I can be, but I have never doubted the church. Every lesson, every sweet tender mercy I receive has always made me want to be the best person i can be. I AM a Mormon because I know from my past experiences and blessings that this is a true gospel! I am truly blessed and know that my Heavenly Father is there to hear and answer my prayers. I know some of the concepts of our church may seem hard to follow or understand, but I know from watching my mom change her life into something better and more meaningful that miracles do happen! I love my family and I love that I can be a family for eternity! I am so grateful for my Heavenly Father and his atoning sacrifice to die for all of our sins. I know it is easy to take what you have now for granted, whether it be wealth, social status, or what you have, but in the end what really matters is who we are and what we stand for! I know what I stand for and I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

Our ward does tons of community projects! We love to help anyone and everyone out! Service is what we do whether they are a member or not. I still participate in the young men's and help out! Recently we received a bunch of snow in our community and so as a young men's group, we all decided to shovel our whole neighborhood out! We had about a foot of snow and it was tough! But definitely worth it to see all the smiles and thank you.
