Hi I'm Joshua Widdup

I grew up in Calgary Alberta Canada, I'm serving a mission in the "Canada Halifax Mission", I love life, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love fashion, sports, music and reading books. I've grown to love the gospel the more I learn about it, and make it a part of my life. I am served a mission in the Canada Halifax Mission, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I grew up in Calgary to loving parents that I love dearly for giving me life. I have 2 sisters, 2 brothers and I am the youngest. My parents got divorced when I was about 7 yrs old. I love them very much for trying their best to do what is right; I'm grateful for who I am today because of their influence in my life. I speak English, French, and understand Spanish, mostly. I really enjoy the peace that can be felt in nature, and the variety that is found in all things throughout the world. I enjoy learning, and that's what life is all about!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I had grown up being taught many great things that, if I were to follow and apply in my life, I would experience happiness and joy. I attended church regularly at an early age. I did not have a strong testimony, one of which was up to me to build. Eventually, I needed and desired to make changes in my life so I prayed to God with all my heart for help. In response, God let me know He loved me and wanted the best for me. That has changed my life forever. My nature has been and continues to be changed through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. As I read His word and continually receive confirmations from Him that The Book of Mormon is true, my life becomes filled with lasting peace, joy and other good things. The love of God and the feelings it brings, words cannot to describe. Eternal life is at hand. Many have told me this and that. I've heard this and that. However, I now know of myself by the power of the Holy Ghost, Jesus is the Christ, He and the Father live, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Kingdom of God on earth today.

How I live my faith

I participate in my community by serving a mission. In my family ward, I also hometeach a few families. By doing this it has built great relationships with beautiful people, and creates strength for all. We are able to rely on each other. We are all in the same boat and different perspectives are always useful!
