Hi I'm Janae Dawson

I grew up in Utah, & started college at BYU. I've lived a pretty average LDS life, & I love it! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Northern Utah. I tried lots of different things in high school, from computers to band to FBLA. I'm taking a break from BYU right now to serve a mission in Boston, and I couldn't be more excited! I think it's fun to try new jobs. I've worked as a cashier, in a concessions stand, and as a medical assistant. I love people, especially meeting lots of different kinds of people. I've been really blessed with a great family, extended too, I think they are too awesome!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this church is a gospel of peace and happiness. I've been through some really tough things with my family and my own personal health that no one my age should have had to go through. I'm so grateful for those challenges in my life though, because those are the times when you are truly humbled and able to become close to our Heavenly Father. All of these hard things I've had to face have helped me to see the blessings in my life. They have made me turn to my Heavenly Father for comfort and guidance, and I promise, without a doubt, he loves every one of us SO MUCH. He has a perfect plan for you to be happy if you will just put your trust in him! I can feel that every time I pray, and I am so grateful! The church just makes me so happy and really makes things make sense. I am so excited to get to share the happiness that it brings with others on my mission!

How I live my faith

I've been so lucky to have really awesome teachers and leaders throughout my life who have shaped who I am today! In my wards, I've been in leadership positions for the young girls my age, then in my college wards I got to serve as an activity planner for a young adult group and helping to make flyers, programs and posters for my ward, and I loved all of them! In my college wards I also got assigned sisters to go visit and teach once a months and got girls assigned to do the same for me, and it's a wonderful program! You make such amazing friendships!
