Hi I'm Connie

I'm a Latter-Day-Saint. I am a Mother of twelve grown children, 24 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

About Me

I have been married to a wonderful man for fifty two years. Before marriage I attended U.C. Berkeley and UH. We have raised twelve children and in the formative years I was a stay at home Mom. When the children were grown or in high school I taught swimming lessons part time. This included adapted aquatics, an arthritis exercise class and coaching a special olympics swim team. I have served in many callings in my church for the past fifty years. I have many hobbies and interests including swimming, gardening, violin and botanical art. My children, grandchildren and great grand children are my primary focus and joy.

Why I am a Mormon

As a child my family belonged to another church. After a time we stopped attending and went to several others or none at all. I knew that something was missing from my life. My Grandmother was a very faithful member of the LDS church. She was my idol. Soon the Stake member missionaries came to teach our family. I enjoyed the lessons and then they challenged us to prayer and ask if the church was true. When I did this that evening I received a testimony that it is the true church of Jesus Christ on the Earth today. I made the decision to be baptized. I do not know what my life would have been like without the strength of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, His Temple, the Living Prophet at the head of HIs church today and the Priesthood of God in my home. I know these things to be true and testify of them in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

How I live my faith

I currently work with the Primary aged children assisting the President, conducting the meetings and teaching the children that they are children of God and that families can be forever. I am a visiting teacher. In this capacity I visit the homes of five women, give a spiritual message, check on how they are give a helping hand as needed. My husband serves as the Bishop of our Ward (congregation) and I support him in his calling in many ways.
