Hi I'm Meghan

I love to laugh, I am a missionary, I get lost all the time, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to laugh, I have a strong belief that laughter cures everything. When I am sad, I laugh, when I am mad, I laugh, when I am tried I laugh, and I laugh. I have the worst luck ever, anything that could go wrong, usually does. Like getting lost, when I get lost I just act like it was a well planned detour and laugh my way back to safety, with help from a few prayers. I love to be surrounded by good people, if you are happy, I like you. I believe that happiness is for all, and achievable to all those who have faith in God, who smile, and trust in a good laugh. My faith defines me, it is apart of all I do. I am currently serving in the best mission in the world, California Santa Rosa mission! As a missionary we see a lot of hard days but when you are out serving others because you love them and you are no longer thinking about your self there is incredible joy. I like to show my faith more than I like to talk about it, the best way to know someone is by their actions not their words. Seek out the good, always smile and remember to laugh!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because two young missionaries knocked on my family's door. My mother was recently divorced had 3 young children to raise and was praying to find some sort of religion in her life outside the one she was raised in. They knocked and she answered, she joined the Church three weeks later and then when I was of age I too was baptized. I gained my own testimony when I was 15, I watch my older brother make some decisions in his life that led to unhappiness, and I had to know if this gospel was true. I started to pray everyday asking, and reading and going to church for me, when my mother slowly stopped going. One day after I had said a prayer asking my Heavenly Father is this Gospel true, is it all that they say it to be, and right then and there I knew. From that day I gained my very own testimony and my life changed, I know this is the true Church of God, I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, who did see God the Father and His Son in that grove of trees, I know that the Book of Mormon is the most correct book we have today, I know the my Savior lives, and knows us and loves us. I know these things to be true, because I decided to get down on my knees and ask for myself.

How I live my faith

Currently I am serving a full time mission, I think that sums it all up...Kidding, serving a mission is only for 18 months, so for these next few months I am up at 6:30 am everyday, yes even on the weekends. I am studying every morning to build my relationship with my Heavenly Father and then I hit the streets of Northern California. Where I have the opportunity to testify in the name of Jesus Christ the things I know to be true. This may only be for a moment but I know that if I remember my Savior and the people I serve, I will forever live my faith, from daily prayers and scripture studies, finding time to serve those around me and doing my best to be the best Mormon someone knows. My faith defines me, because it is me. I live the way that I was sent here to be, some say I live by the rules, but it is these rules that set me free, free to chose and to be happy. Happiness is the best way to live my faith.
