Hi I'm Brendan

I grew up in Utah, I'm an Upper Cervical Doctor, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Im an Advanced Upper Cervical Chiropractor, a Marketing Executive for Melaleuca, and a proud father to an amazing 5 year old son. I love fitness and outdoor activities like weight training and cross fit, camping, skateboarding, snowboarding, biking, mountain climbing, anything extreme. Im attracted to exotic animals and totally love my amazing hybrid Ashera cat..."Atlas"....who has an extraordinarily intelligent personality. I play the guitar, I love to DJ, I cant live without my Mac and I totally support my constitutional and 2nd amendment freedoms.

Why I am a Mormon

I consider myself fortunate to have grown up under the influence of the gospel standards taught in the LDS church. I felt a unique sense of accountability to choose the right in all things. Of course I was not perfect but I appreciated and believed the doctrine without a second consideration, striving to live the commandments to best of my ability. But it wasn't until my late teens when I was presented with the opportunity to serve a mission that I really looked closely at my testimony and realized I did not yet have a firm knowledge for myself (a personal conviction) that the Lords true church had in fact been re-established on the earth under the direction of the Savior thru His modern day prophet Joseph Smith. I needed to know this was true without a doubt before I could feel comfortable sacrificing two years of my life to serve the Lord away from friends and family. I needed to know that Jesus Christ really was the Savior who ministered and Atoned for my sins here on earth. I needed to have no doubt in my mind that God calls prophets today and speaks to men through revelation as in ancient times. I had felt the warm comforting peaceful feelings of the Holy Ghost many times in my life when I needed reassurance but this time I knew that the only way for me to gain the conviction I was looking for was to read the Book of Mormon in its entirety and pray to know of its truthfulness. Without reservation I did so at age 19. I felt many times during my endeavor that the record was true, and still I prayed to know of its truthfulness upon finishing the book and I did receive a witness from the spirit that it was indeed true. This newfound knowledge that turned from believe into conviction was monumental in my decision to voluntarily serving the Lord, freely giving of my time and talents to the building up of His kingdom on earth. I love my Savior, I know the gospel & the scriptures are true, I know God calls prophets to lead and guide us. We can return to live with Him.

How I live my faith

Growing up in the LDS church has always presented many teaching opportunities. I was a primary teacher (sunday school for ages 4-12) to the 4-6 year olds for 2 years and I loved it. I enjoy giving short talks in Sacrament meeting when invited to do so. I had the privilege to serve an honorable full time mission in the Detroit MI area (Feb 2001-Feb 2003) teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and preparing Gods children for baptism and other sacred covenants. I love the spirit I feel at church when Im around my brothers and sisters who genuinely care for my welfare. On a monthly basis (minimally) I love to visit families in the congregation who have been assigned to me to look after, fellowship, and see to their needs. I love the scriptures for the peace and clarity they bring to my life and for my understanding of the unique role each of has in Gods divine plan. I am not perfect in any way but I strive to study the scriptures, keep the commandments, and live righteously and worthily of the companionship of the Holy Ghost the best I can. We are all Gods children and we all have free agency to choose for ourselves but I know that choosing to follow Jesus Christ and live the gospel as we are continually taught thru the scriptures and modern revelation will bring a peace and happiness in this life unmatched by anything the world can offer.
