Hi I'm Jessika Wynn

I was raised in Southern California. I study Actuarial Science at Brigham Young University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to snowboard, swim, surf, and play most sports. In high school I sang in the choir and participated in Model United Nations as well as swam for the swim team and played on the waterpolo team. I am a college student at Brigham Young University studying Actuarial Science with minors in Mathematics and Business Management. I love to be active and enjoy the beautiful outdoors in a variety of climates. With four younger siblings, I am very protective of younger children. I love young kids and worked for quite some time with children from 6 months to 12 years of age. I will be spending 18 months on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Paris, France and I am thrilled.

Why I am a Mormon

There is no greater happiness or peace in this world than the knowledge that I have a God that loves me and is aware of me. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (mormon church) creates a door to feeling that love and peace. It contains truth that illuminates my soul and enlightens my mind. I find no greater peace of mind than when I participate in church activities. I know that this church contains the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that He is the leader of it. I love being a member of a church that has Jesus Christ as the direct leader. I come from a family of very devout Catholics and I know that they have much truth in their church but I have seen the difference that my religion has made on my family and the strength and security that it provides. I feel closer to God as I participate in this church than at any other time and that is why I choose to devote my life to this Gospel and my Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I help with the efforts in my church to reach out to all of the women and help them in any capacity which they need assistance. This is called Visiting Teaching. Each woman is assigned a companion and two or three other women that they are to visit with monthly and befriend. This great act of service helps to uplift and edify each of the women in our church organization and I love watching the goodness that stems from their efforts. Being a part of a church organization helps me to feel connected to others and gives me a greater purpose to my life, since I have a reason to serve and help others. I want to bring all people I come in contact with happiness and light. This can be done as others come to know Jesus Christ and feel of His love in their life. I am thrilled to be spending the next 18 months of my life in direct service to God and my fellowman by sharing the love of God with them and bringing many the truth about our Savior.
