Hi I'm Tyler

I'm a Mormon. And a Missionary. I grew up in Alberta Canada, and am serving my 2-year mission in Ontario Canada!

About Me

I grew up in central Alberta, Canada. High school Graduate, after my mission I intend to go to university and become a doctor. (Or something that can support a family well anyway). I enjoy relaxing with friends, reading, swimming, video games, computers, playing piano (But I don't like practicing, hmm... should really think about that) and spending time with my family. I am the oldest of Three children, and the first to go on a mission in my family.

Why I am a Mormon

To be perfectly honest. I like being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints. In the teachings of our church, questions are not only allowed, but encouraged. We are always told to ask God and his Son Jesus Christ about what we are learning (or searching for answers to) and that our first Loyalty is to God, and that as children of God, we ALL have the right to ask for his help and counsel. Most important of our teachings is that the heavens are not sealed. That God and Jesus Christ have NOT left us to fend for ourselves, and they care about us collectively, and as individuals. They're grandest dream is that we will each choose to follow Christ, and live the commandments. Not because they want to control us, but because it's the way they know that we can have the most happiness.

How I live my faith

I am an Elder and Missionary for the church. I've been an active member with my siblings and parents since I was 8. The most important part of being a Mormon for me is being worthy of enjoying the blessings of the Priesthood and living the way God would have me do. I don't like to look at all the 'rules' we seem to have as a negative. Why? I've experienced the blessings of living the way Jesus Christ, through Prophets both ancient and modern, has revealed to us. The best way to live your faith is do your best to live as God and his Son direct. "Love the lord thy God with all thy might, mind and strength." And "Love thy neighbor as thyself."
