Hi I'm Isaac

I love music and longboarding. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, but shortly before I turned four I moved to Tucson, Arizona where I have been ever since. I have grown to love music and I play the guitar. I also love video games and longboarding. I try to go longboarding as much as I can. Whenever I get stressed out, music and longboarding never fail to calm me down. Right now I am preparing to serve a mission in Mozambique and I am very excited to go.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have been active ever since then. But that is not the reason I am a Mormon. Nobody is born with a testimony, nor can someone merely show up to church because their parents made them and expect to gain a testimony of this church. I believe that when I really gained a testimony, I was in high school. Most of my life before then, I simply did what I was told because I did not like getting in trouble. In high school, I endured some of the toughest experiences I have ever been through. Many of my friends who were also Mormon made some decisions that they thought would be fun and bring them happiness. I noticed that even though I was not doing these things, I was happier than they were. This church brings real happiness, not temporary pleasures. I am so very happy with my choices in high school and I am happy to be able to serve this church by serving a mission. I know that this church brings a message of peace and happiness, and I cannot wait to share it with the world.

How I live my faith

In the past couple months while I have been preparing to serve a mission, I have been serving as a ward missionary. My specific job is to try and invite non-members to come to the different activities that my ward puts on. I have been able to invite many of my friends who are not Mormon to come to activities like ultimate frisbee and dodgeball, and they have enjoyed coming very much. They have told me that they have enjoyed not just the activity, but the environment that the church members have created.
