Hi I'm Lauren

I love to run, laughing is my favorite hobby and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in California, and I absolutely love the sunshine. I am currently serving a mission in Omaha Nebraska at the Winter Quarters Historic Site. I have never been happier! Before my mission I attended BYU, and was studying Elementary Education. I love to teach, and children make me so happy! I love to go running, I love to sing, I love to have fun! I also enjoy anything outdoors, including hiking, swimming, camping, biking, boating, eating.. you name it! I believe that this life is a gift, and because of the gospel of Jesus Christ I can be happy no matter what life throws at me.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in Christ. I believe that He, and only He, is the Savior of this world. I know that He sacrificed His life so that I could live mine. He shed His blood for me and for every mistake and sin that I commit. I am no where near perfect, yet I know that through Jesus Christ I can become clean. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's church on this earth today. I know this because I have felt His undeniable love and comfort time and time again while reading the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon has changed my life in ways that nothing else can. Because I have read this book, I have felt an assurance that the Lord loves me, that I have a purpose in life, and that I have every reason to be happy in a world that often seems scary. I am a Mormon because when I go to church or read the scriptures, I feel warm inside. I am made stronger and feel closer to Christ when I am following His teachings. The Lord has blessed my life more than I deserve, and I know it is because of my membership in His church.

How I live my faith

My faith is the most important thing I possess. Serving the Lord for a year and a half has been the most rewarding and beautiful experience of my life. I get to serve the One who has blessed me with all that I have, by sharing Christ's gospel with everyone! There is nothing greater :) Before my mission I had the privilege of leading the women of my congregation in doing service, fun activities, and in helping them individually with their spiritual growth. I love the women who are in my community, and have found such strength by gathering together with them. So many friendships have been born because of my membership in this church, and I love being able to use my individual talents in order to help others. I had the opportunity of teaching a lesson one Sunday a month to these women on a topic such as love in the home, service, or becoming more like Christ. I am continually uplifted every time I teach not because of my lesson, but because of the faith and courage each women has and shares.
