Hi I'm Thomas

I absolutely love Ultimate Frisbee and pretty much anything with my Friends. Oh, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah (Southern Utah is where it's at!). I have one younger brother, one older brother and SIX older sisters! I am also the Uncle to 8 nieces and 7 nephews(Soon to be more:)! I was Home-Schooled when I was younger. I really loved doing school that way because I was able study what I wanted to learn about, including a lot of scripture studies! I love to play any sport with my friends or family, but I must say that Ultimate Frisbee would be a favorite! I love my Family a whole lot and don't know what I would do without them. Family is a very important thing in my life. Today I am serving a two year Mission for the Church. I have been called to the Ohio Columbus Mission and I am absolutely loving it here. I miss the mountains but it is alright. Two years isn't too long to go without mountains. Serving this Mission is definitely one of the Biggest highlights of my life!!!

Why I am a Mormon

One of the biggest reasons I am a Mormon is because I was born into the church and man am I glad I was! As I grew older I really wanted to know for myself! So I did. I took upon myself the promise in Moroni 10 (at the very end) and decided that I would read the whole Book of Mormon and then pray and ask God if it was true or not. I did just that and He definitely answered me! The more I live by the teachings of Jesus Christ, the more I know that this is His church. I am a Mormon because I know that this is the one true Church on this earth today. I know that it is lead by a living Prophet of God, Thomas S. Monson. I am now glad to say that I am a Mormon not only because I was born into the church but because I chose to be and I'll never regret it.

How I live my faith

My faith, I can't just live my faith on Sundays. It is really a way of life. Today and for the next year, I am a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I feel that I best live my faith when I am sharing it with others. I have already seen lives change because of this Gospel. I believe that in order to share what you believe, first you have to know what you believe. On my mission I've grown to love the Book of Mormon. every time I read it I know that I grow closer to my Savior. I can feel His love as I read his words. whether it's the New Testament, Old Testament, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants or even the words from our latter day prophets, I grow closer to my Savior and I think that's where it all needs to start. There is a scripture in the Book of Mormon that says that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass (Alma 37:6-7) and I know that we can really help ourselves out a lot by doing the small things like; reading your scriptures, going to church or attending church on Sunday. I know that when we live the Gospel Standards and abide by Gods commandments we are truly blessed. I know that personally, I am a much happier person when I am doing what God wants me to do. I love this Gospel!

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

NO! I love it when people ask me this because I can help people clarify. We do NOT worship Joseph Smith!!! The reason people think that is because we talk a lot about him because he was the first Prophet in these last days. He had a vision and saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith was an amazing tool that God was able to work through. I love Joseph Smith for all that he has done for the Church (including giving his own life) but I don not worship him. It is only through the Grace of God and the Atonement of Jesus Christ that we can be saved and it is The Father and the Son who I worship! Show more Show less
