Hi I'm Lance

Hi, I am a mormon. I am like many other people, I like to play sports, hang out with friends and family.

About Me

I like to do many things that other people like to do as well. I love to play sports. Some of the sports that I have played either for fun or on a team are: basketball, soccer, baseball, rugby, football, and volleyball. My most recent hobby is playing the card game Magic the Gathering, I am pretty good at it and have won a lot of tournaments in my town. I decided to sell my collection to earn money to serve a two year mission for my church. I am going to the "4-Corners" are in the Farmington Mission, I look forward to meeting new people and sharing the gosepel of Jesus Christ with others. My family says that I am a funny guy. I like to laugh and hang out with friends. I like to go hiking, camping and being with my family. I am easy going and get along with pretty much everyone I come into contact with.

Why I am a Mormon

I started out basing my faith and comitment off of my parents when i was young. As i grew up in the church I was able to find myself and my own testimony and purpose. the church has helped me gain strong friendships and has brought much happiness to me through the opportunity to serve others and be served. The Holy Ghost is given to a member after they are baptized into the church and is a constant companion according to our righteousness; this has helped so much in my life to help give me peace or to help direct me in my choices. i am glad that i have the opporunity to have the truth on this earth that i can know for myself that families can be together forever and that death is not the end. I am greatful to my mother who converted as a young child and went to church alone because her family did not join. through her struggles i have been so blessed in my life and i am greatful for that.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday, we meet for three hours and have three meetings during that time. I have had opportunities to be an example to others, help others in the Boy Scouting program of which I myself earned my Eagle Award. I have been able to be a home teacher where I get to go with another man in my church to visit families in our ward. A ward is a congregation of people in a certain area that are assigned to meet together. This has been a great experience, I have made some great friends and have been able to help and show love towards others.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

The purpose of life is for families to gain bodies and to prove their worthiness to return to live with Heavenly Father again. Show more Show less
