Hi I'm Adam Kahmann

I'm a video game developer, lover of movies and musicals, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Wisconsin. I am a student at BYU-Idaho studying Software Engineering. On the side I develop my own computer games. I am currently working on a game called Emberboy in a small indie studio I started called Imagine Hero Gaming. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time inspired me to create my own games in my childhood. I am also a returned missionary who served a two year mission in Mendoza, Argentina. In high school I grew up playing in the band and singing in choir and musicals. I love music and expressing my creativity with others. Most important to me however, are my friends and family. The best moments in my life are spending time with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Christ lives and that the Book of Mormon is true. To me the Book of Mormon combined with the confirmation of the Holy Ghost is indisputable evidence that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints truly is Christ's church. Not only do I know that these things are true, but I am a happier person because I am a Mormon. As a Mormon I strive to become more like Christ who is the best role model for me. I have friends at church who encourage and support me to become better and I have a modern day prophet to lead and guide me. Someday when I have a family of my own I will know how to raise my children because of the experiences I had from being a Mormon. Choosing to be a Mormon as been a blessing in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping God's commandments. I love video games, but my priority in life is Christ. I only play games that are appropriate and keep the Spirit in my life. I strive to make games that are, "virtuous, lovely, ...of good report[, and] praiseworthy", as described in the 13th Article of Faith. I hope that someday the games I create will reflect my love for Jesus Christ and the faith I have in Him. I don't see keeping the commandments of God as a burden, rather I see them as a blessing. Whenever I don't keep one of God's commandments I can see the consequences for not keeping them. But when I do keep them I find myself happier and better off. Luckily I have Christ Atonement in my life which cleanses me of my sins and gives me strength to move forward in life.
