Hi I'm Lydia

I was born in Chicago. I love tennis, running, and good books. I'm studying accounting.

About Me

I have passion for life. I love playing tennis and pickleball. I absolutely love to learn. I am a college student majoring in accounting and minoring in English. I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters and they are my best friends. I enjoy hiking, reading, mountain biking, and traveling. I am a runner. I wish I cooked better. I adore Chopin nocturnes. Black licorice is my favorite. I love good friends and good conversation.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because living its teaching brings me true joy. I was raised a Mormon and so my religion is very much part of who I am. I have continued to be an active Mormon because I've had and continue to have spiritual experiences where Heavenly Father confirms to me that I have found truth. This doesn't mean I never have questions. But I know that I am a member of the only true church on earth because I feel a warm spirit when its doctrines are taught and when I am reading the Book of Mormon. The Mormon church teaches things that I believe in my heart. I believe my family will always be together even after death, that my Savior suffered so that I might return to live with my Heavenly Father, and that a 14 year old boy named Joseph Smith saw God and Christ in a grove of trees when he prayed to know which church to join. When I live the standards of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, I am happier. I feel stronger, empowered, and more confident. I treat others better. I have more desire to do good. I am less selfish. I see more good in the world. I see the hand of God in my life. I am a Mormon because I want to be happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by surrounding myself with truth and light. I study the scriptures everyday. I pray everyday. I attend church every Sunday. I try my best to live the commandments of God. I continue to seek more truth and knowledge.
