Hi I'm Kelsey

I grew up In Utah. I play sports and enjoy the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, my name is Kelsey. I'm a Mormon and I live in Utah. I'm currently preparing to serve a full time mission in California. I enjoy anything you can do outdoors and I absolutely love playing soccer.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was raised in the church. My parents are Mormon and my entire family is Mormon. But that's not why I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon because throughout my life there have been countless experiences involving what we Mormons call the Holy Ghost. These experiences have given me glimpses to what true happiness is and how I can obtain it. They have also kept me out of great trouble and guided me when I felt helplessly lost and alone. I believe with my whole heart that my life is as wonderful as it is because I am a Mormon, and I have a full knowledge of what true happiness is because of the gospel I was raised in. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints is Gods true church on the earth today. I know because of this knowledge my life is blessed. And I am proud to be a part of this gospel.

How I live my faith

In order to show my faith I attend church every Sunday and I even have a calling to teach the four year old primary class. I am also preparing to serve as a full time sister missionary for our church for the next year and a half. I also live my faith by doing my best each day to show others that I love them through service and kindness.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Kelsey
I'll put it simply. We believe that families can be together forever. Not just in this life but in the life to come also. Parents can be sealed together for all eternity in our temples and when they decide to have children their children are already sealed to them. Family is and should be the most important thing in anyone's life. When I was a little girl I had to opportunity to go through the temple and be sealed to my parents. I had this opportunity because my parents were not worthy to be married in the temple before they had me. But through their decisions to change their life and through the process of repentance we were able to go to the temple as a family. Even though I was very small I still remember that day or rather the feelings of that day very clearly. I remember seeing my parents eyes full of tears of joy and I remember feeling that same overwhelming joy because I knew I could be with the people who loved me most for time and all eternity. I love my family and cannot imagine how I could face loosing a member of my family without the knowledge that I would see them again someday. Just another reason for me to hold so tightly to my beliefs as life throws hurtles our way just as it does for everybody. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
