Hi I'm William Holbein

I have grown up in Kentucky for most of my life. I am a student attending Brigham Young University. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello, my name is William! A lot of people call me Will for short though! I have grown up for most of my life living in Kentucky with my family. I have been involved in the theatre world ever since I was little and have been in many productions. Currently I am attending Brigham Young University with an open major. I love animals, especially dogs. I am a proud owner of a Goldendoodle named Rosie, and I love her to death! I love learning, and I love trying new things.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by two loving parents who taught me about Christ's gospel using the Book of Mormon and the Bible. Using both sets of scriptures hand in hand to teach my siblings and me about Christ and His Gospel. But as I grew older though, I began to truly wonder why I was a Mormon. What did I truly believe in? I had always grown up listening to my parents, but I realized that I personally wasn't sure if I knew that the church was true. I had always been taught that it was, but I needed to find out for myself. I then took it upon myself to read the Book of Mormon by myself, not just with my family. I had never done this before, and I admit I was a little apprehensive. But I stuck to the goal. A little while later after much reading and studying of the book I came upon the conclusion. This is where I discovered the verses of scripture that I needed. It was in Moroni chapter 10 verses 4-5, which state, "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." I had received the Book of Mormon by reading of it's words and I knew that I needed to know of it's truthfulness, so I decided that I needed to ask God. Late one night I got down upon my knees and I began to pray. I truly wanted to know, and I asked God if these things that I had received were true. It wasn't till after I had finished my prayer that I felt an overwhelming sense of peace. It came as an enlightenment to my heart, mind, and soul. It was then that I knew that God had answered my prayer. This peace testified unto me of it's truthfulness. I then knew it was true and in turn I knew that the rest of the church must be true as well. Since then I have grown stronger in this church.

How I live my faith

I am a Christian through and through. I have always been raised in the Mormon faith and I truly believe that it has changed my life for the better. I have served in the church primarily with the youth.
