Hi I'm Becky

I am a homemaker with three young children in Iowa. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah, but grew up in a small town in Michigan with my three sisters. I went to school at BYU in Provo, Utah. I studied elementary education. I met my husband there. When we graduated from school, we moved to Colorado with our two boys. After our daughter was born we moved to Iowa (and are loving it here). My husband works and I am at home with our three kids. I love life and having fun. It is a very great experience raising and teaching children. I love spending time with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. So I was born into the church and grew up learning the gospel. I was baptized when I was eight years old. I have a testimony that continues to grow to this day. I know that Heavenly Father is our Father in Heaven and Jesus is our Redeemer and elder brother. I am so grateful for the teachings of the gospel and how it makes us better people.

How I live my faith

We go to church every week as a family. I teach a youth Sunday School class, ages 12 and 13. This is the oldest group I have taught, having taught nursery and three year old classes before. My two boys always come home and tell us what they have learned in Primary and nursery. We try to have family home evening every week, and now our boys are looking forward to it and remind us each week. They even love giving the lessons. There is so much we can learn from each other. We are teaching our children how to be kind and serve others as Jesus did.
