Hi I'm Karen

I grew up in Idaho in the Mormon church with a childhood goal to go on a mission. My dream is coming true!

About Me

I grew up going to church, but made the choice to not do so when I went to college. I spent a few years feeling lost and alone until I took the missionary discussions and knew that being active in the Church would bring the gospel back into my life and with that I could be happy again. As a child I had set the goals to go on a mission and to be married in the Church. Because of my choices, I couldn't serve a mission as a young woman. But I did finally get sealed to my family in the Temple and now I am getting ready to go to the MTC to serve a mission with my husband. Life couldn't be any more sweet!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because living the gospel of Jesus Christ is where pure joy comes from. Being baptized by one who has the authority from God ensures me the presence of the Holy Ghost, which helps in every aspect of my life.

How I live my faith

I read the scriptures and go to my meetings to attain my quest to be more like Christ, because I knew that the closer I get to Christ, the more I can feel His love and have that love within me for everyone around me. I love the many callings I've had, especially in Family History. I have such a strong testimony of family and being sealed to my loved ones, both alive and dead to this world.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Karen
A testimony is the beliefs of a person concerning Jesus Christ and His Atonement and His church here on earth. It is a sharing of the Spirit of God concerning those truths. Show more Show less
