Hi I'm Kyle

I was born and raised in Utah, and I love music, theater, and sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second oldest of eight children, and my parents decided to home-school all of us! I was taught at home up to the age of 16, and in the process I developed a real love of learning. At the age of 16 I began taking online college courses from a community college, and I was able to graduate with an Associate's degree two years later. I hope to be accepted in the near future to Brigham Young University where I can continue with my education. I enjoy sports, and in particular I have spent quite a bit of time swimming, learning Tae Kwon Do, and playing volley ball. I also enjoy arts such as singing, dancing, playing the piano, and theater. Right now I am focusing on classical vocal training, and I hope someday to be able to sing at a professional level.

Why I am a Mormon

There are many reasons that I am a Mormon, but the most important reason is that the Spirit has borne witness to me that this is truly the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I have read the Book of Mormon and I have prayed to know whether or not it is true. I have received a testimony that the Book of Mormon is indeed the word of God. As I continue to study the gospel the Spirit continues to affirm to me that what I am learning is true. Aside from this testimony, I am a Mormon because of the peace and joy which the gospel brings to my life. I know that no matter what hardships come my way, I can always count on my Heavenly Father to help me through. The Lord has always answered my prayers in the past, and I know that he will continue to do so in the future. In times of hardship I have felt the Love of my Father in Heaven in ways that I cannot deny. I know that I can face anything because I know without a doubt that my Heavenly Father loves me!

How I live my faith

I love to attend church every week in order to learn and to partake of the Spirit of the Lord! I have been called as one of the Primary choristers in my ward, and so every other week I have the opportunity to sing with the children ages 12 and under in my ward. I help the children to learn songs which teach them about the gospel of Jesus Christ, and I plan activities which help the children to stay focused as we sing. I have also been called as a home teacher in my ward. This means that I have the chance to meet with a few families in my ward every month to see how they are doing. I go with my home teaching companion to the home of each family, and we share a gospel message with them. We visit with the families and look for ways that we can help them. We encourage the families to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. In a few short weeks I will be able to go on a mission to share this marvelous gospel with others, and invite them to come unto Christ! I am exited to serve a mission because I will have the opportunity to help others overcome their pains and trials and begin a new life full of joy!
