Hi I'm Zoe

I was raised in California and Utah, and I'm headed off to serve an LDS mission in Washington[Kennewick]. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in my grandfather's house, which rooted a deep love for all things circa 1940. My dad is my best friend. We were just two crazy kids that grew up together. My favorite place in the world is Canter's Delicatessan; a Jewish deli. Mmm. I'm currently serving a mission through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints. It is the most rigorous and difficult thing I have ever had to do; emotionally and spiritually. But it is cleansing, healing, and I am learning what it means to be a follower of Christ. The first principle of His gospel is faith. You just gotta have faith.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of this church, but as I grew older, it was my choice to remain a member. From the outside view, L.D.S people seem to have a lot of rules, restrictions, and responsibilities. It probably looks overwhelming. If you don't have a strong testimony of this gospel...it is. I follow the commandments because I believe in my Savior, Jesus Christ, and what He did for each of us. I continue to follow Him, because I know that that is where eternal happiness lies. And though Heavenly Father requires us to be faithful, and hard-working, He never leaves us to do the work alone, and the Lord always blesses us with much more than what we offer to Him. The Savior has the power to comfort us when hearts ache, and our minds are troubled. Prayer has always been my saving grace. I would be in a very sad state if I did not have the knowledge of this Gospel. It is what carries light and love into my life. The Book of Mormon, the temple, understanding the role of families, and missionary work to strangers as well as those dear to us, are the reasons why I have any joy and peace in my life. I love this Gospel.

How I live my faith

I try to do what the Lord asks. During a conference to the women of the world, it was said that the way we show our faith and love for the Savior, is by cheerfully keeping our covenants. A covenant is a promise, and we are blessed when we keep our promises we make with the Lord. I keep those promises by trying to love others, and strengthen them in whatever way Christ would. I go to church even on days when I might not feel like it. I go to the temple regularly, and ponder my life, my eternity, and my relationship with God. Because of those things, I am blessed with eternal joy, and not just fleeting strokes of happiness.
