Hi I'm Jessica

I have so much to be grateful for: A good life, my health, my education, a beautiful marriage, & a crazy baby boy! Life is great!

About Me

I am blessed to be a mother and wife and sister and grand-daughter to an amazing family! To me, family is where it is at. Not every day is blissful, but I spend my time helping to create an environment where my infant son can grow up in love and peace. That includes changing a lot of dirty diapers, cleaning up spit up, playing with trucks and balls, helping him to gain important milestones, reading books, and taking walks together. I have learned over time that life is much more enjoyable if you take the opportunity to find the blessings which the Lord gives us. My husband is another important part of my life. He is busy with a graduate program, but always takes the time to make sure that we feel loved. We like doing outdoor activities like hiking, riding bikes, boating, skiing, rafting, and swimming. In my free-time I like to find new recipes to cook. I also have been transcribing a journal that my mom wrote while she was a first-time mother. Life is great! I accredit it all to my loving, Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt the Spirit testify that this is God's true and complete church on the earth today. I have a brother and a sister who are full-time missionaries right now. They have encouraged us to read the Book of Mormon more diligently. As I have taken the time to read, I have been touched by the stories that have been recorded many years ago. I know that the Prophets who wrote them long ago were inspired to share messages that will help us today. I have gained a greater insight into how much Jesus Christ loved us because of the testimonies that are written in God's scriptures. The scriptures and modern day Prophets and Apostles teach us valuable lessons, especiallly lessons on serving others. I am a Mormon because I feel peace and happiness inside when I follow the counsels of Prophets, both modern and ancient. I know that God loves me!

How I live my faith

Each Sunday is a special day for me. I am privileged to teach the eight year old children's class. While the children in class may be busy, there is a special unique spirit about each child. I have learned from their examples the importance of loving others. They aren't quick to judge. They forgive easily. They want others to feel like they belong. To me living my faith, is looking for ways to serve other people every day like the primary children do and like Jesus did when He was on the earth.
