Hi I'm Hannah Louise

I'm a nurse. I love the rain and snow. I dance as if no one is watching. I believe everyone is beautiful. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a nurse going to school to get my bachelor's degree. I enjoy creativity although I do not consider myself creative. I love hiking, sports, and adventures! I dance as if no one is watching and I do a mean karaoke performance. I was raised LDS and have learned the importance of gaining my own testimony.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I am my best self when living the values and teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon teaches in Mosiah (2:17), "when ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God". I love this scripture. Service is working for the Lord to help His children here on earth. As I live the gospel standards I am able to have the Holy Ghost abide with me to help me discern right from wrong and good vs better vs best. I feel comfort even when I am alone. I am so grateful to have the Holy Ghost in my life. I love the gospel because it brings everyone together as one. Women are called "sister" and men are called "brother". This was especially important to me when I was a little girl. I had no grandparents and grew sad that all my friends did. Many of the older widows and sisters in my neighborhood stepped up to fulfill the position. I soon was the only kid on the block with six grandmas! They called when they had extra cookies, needed help setting up holiday decorations, or wanted company for a walk. The church has always fulfilled every void I have felt in my life. I understand how Joseph Smith felt a void in his life and I know that he was inspired by God and His son Jesus Christ to restore this gospel to the earth. I know that he was a true prophet and that Thomas S. Monson is the prophet today that righteously leads the church. I know we are going in the right direction because he is lead by the Holy Ghost who only influences for good. i am grateful for the gospel and its influence on my life.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by being a positive influence in the workplace. As a nurse we have the opportunity to meet people from all different backgrounds and care for them while they are in their most vulnerable state. I have consistently seen that the attitude of the nurse determines the attitude of the patient. With the more difficult patients, being a happy influence can be much more productive than not. In the ward where I live I have served as a teacher of the women in the church. We all gather together as sisters for an hour ever sunday and learn principles that pertain specifically to us. We discuss our weaknesses/successes and give/receive advice about how to live the way we
