Hi I'm Kathryn Jane Youngberg

I am a traveling girl. I love being around people from all walks of life. I am a Disciple of Christ. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a girl from a large family. I have 5 siblings and 2 wonderful, beloved parents. I have traveled to many places and have many friends from all walks of life. I enjoy read fantasy books and also love writing them. I also love to draw anime and love drawing others and seeing them smile as I give each work of art away to them. I have been going to Brigham Young University Idaho for a couple of years as a English Education Major. I really enjoy being a English Major because as I write and read it gives me a glimpse of how people feel and how they think. I also enjoy being around my friends. I love be able to bring smiles to their faces as I do things to help them laugh. Laughter I know brings out the best in everything. I know that my friends are happy when I hear laughter and a smile appear on their face. That brings me such happiness seeing the joy of someone else besides my own. Bring someone else joy is a blessing that God has been able to give to me. I love my family. family is so important to me. I have 5 older siblings and parents. I also have 7 nieces and nephews. I love being able to spend time with them and enjoy when we are all together. There are just really good happy feelings and great memories when I am with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of what joy it has brought me. I look back on my life and look at the decisions that I have made, and it is because of my faith that I am where I am today. It is because of the love I have for Jesus Christ and his Gospel that I am out here in the Long Beach California Mission bringing the joy to those who are searching for His Truth. I know that this is not just some other religion that is in the world. I know that this is His true Church and His Gospel. I know that there is no other way but through His Gospel that we receive the fullness of joy as described in the scriptures. I know that everyone can receive this joy and everyone I know wants this joy. I encourage everyone to search, ponder, and pray to know of this truth. I know that you if you want the most happiness in this life and in the life to come, read and pray about the Book and Mormon. You will know the truth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through action. I have learned that even more since I have been on my mission. I knew that when you live your faith through your actions you become a living example to those all around you. And I have come to that knowledge more than I have ever thought before. As I have been on my mission, people are watching the actions that I show to them. This is a heavy responsibility to be a example for everyone around me. But, I have seen it bless my life and for the friends that are supporting me as I am out doing what the Lord wants me to do. I never truly knew until I had my friends and loved ones point it out to me that because of my faith in Jesus Christ that I am strong in my heart and in Spirit. I continue to live my faith by expressing it through actions, but also through the love of Jesus Christ. I know that everyone I met is a Son or a Daughter of God. They are special to him and they are special to me as well. Because of my faith I am able to see how Christ sees everyone. I am able to help all those around me with no fear in my heart. I am grateful for the faith that I have and the testimony that has been growing from a tiny seed and watching it grow into a tree that I know that it will be.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Kathryn Jane Youngberg
The reason why we need a Savior is because He is the only one that has forsaken our sins. Because of Him we can be forgiven from others and our Heavenly Father. Because of the Savior we are able to repent and be forgiven. Show more Show less
