Hi I'm Lydia

I like ice cream and basketball, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from a little town in Wyoming. My family of 6 lives on a farm with a few animals. I went to public school until my sophomore year of high school. When I was a junior I decided to be home schooled and then graduated from Connections Academy in 2014. I went to Sheridan College for a semester to study art. While there, I decided I wanted to serve a mission and so came back home and am now preparing to serve as a missionary in the Peru Lima Central Mission. I'm also currently working on becoming a Pharmacy Technician and trying to save some money to help my parents with the mission fund. I am so excited to go!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my parents raised me in this church. When I was in middle school I started questioning all the rules of this church and decided to go ahead and test them out for myself. In 7th grade I was certain I wouldn't keep going to church once I was out on my own and was on the wrong path. But in the middle of my eighth grade year I decided I didn't want to be on that path anymore because where I was going wasn't where I truly wanted to be. So here I am, getting ready to serve a mission and I have never been happier. I want everyone to know how awesome this church truly is!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every single Sunday. I read my scriptures and try to have personal prayer everyday. I love the Book of Mormon and I know it is true. I feel a conformation of its truth every time I read it. I live my faith by being an example of the believers. I try my best to be a Latter-day Saint in all my daily activities. I obey the word of wisdom and I avoid the things that are not uplifting. I live my faith by diligently aiming for a closer relationship with my Heavenly Father and with Jesus Christ. I live my faith by never swearing. I live my faith by following the councils of my parents and priesthood leaders. I love this church and cannot imagine a life without it.
