Hi I'm Adam

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. I'm a missionary in Louisiana. I like being a Mormon, it's what all the cool kids are doing.

About Me

Playing sports is one of my favorite things to do; especially basketball, volleyball, and tennis. I enjoy learning about science and technology, but I dont like to think of myself as "nerdy". I like many kinds of music- mostly rap, indie rock, hip hop, main stream pop, and country. I really like photography, movies that make me laugh, and making new friends. I definitely like to party, but most days I enjoy relaxing to chill music with close friends. I have many weaknesses including (but not limited to): overindulgence of any candy that combines chocolate and peanut butter (or chocolate and mint), pizza, and Mountain Dew. I just like being real with people and having a good time going with the flow of things.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy. God wants us all to find true and lasting joy, and through the gospel of Jesus Christ I have this joy. When I read the scriptures, pray everyday, and try to help other people; I get this feeling that lets me know that what I'm doing is right, and that I can work through whatever challenge arises because I know all things are possible with God's help. The church has helped me learn more about Christ and the scriptures. It's taught me good moral values that have guided me safely through my teen years. I love having the structured learning programs and the people at church to support me.

How I live my faith

Well right now I'm a missionary, and I'm trying to share what I believe with people in Louisiana. People here are sweet. When I'm not a missionary I mostly try to be a good example to my friends by being a good Christian. Jesus said to love everybody, so I try to find common ground with people when I talk to them rather than be pushy or belittling. There is good all around so I try to look for it rather than dwell on negative things. I try not to say or do things that will hurt others' feelings. I've found that being kind goes a long way.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is fun. The kind of fun that uplifts you and helps you become a better person. From the moment you step into the church building on Sunday to the moment you leave, you are greeted warmly and fellowshipped. You feel loved and wanted. You spend time with loved ones in your free time like family and close friends and build stronger relationships with them because of your common beliefs. You feel joy and inner peace because you know the answer to life's greatest questions like, "who am I?", "why am I here and what's my purpose?", and also "where do I go after this life?". These are questions we ask ourselves naturally, and finding those answers in this church is truly a blessing from God. I encourage whole-heartedly to meet with missionaries and find these answers for yourself so that you too can feel peace from within that can't be found any other way. Show more Show less
