Hi I'm Tasia

I'm an artist, a singer, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am an aspiring artist. I love music, visual art, writing, acting, and anything else creative. I have been classically trained in singing and enjoy singing opera, art songs, and show tunes. I enjoy drawing in ink, oil pastels, and ink. I love sculpting with odd materials, especially paper and beads. I also enjoy painting with oil and acrylic paint. I am currently attending college and majoring in creative writing. I love writing poetry and short stories.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a Mormon family. However, it is my belief that faith develops in everyone individually and everyone must eventually become converted to their own religion regardless of their upbringing. I have been able to attend and learn about many different religions throughout the years and I am a Mormon because I have not found anywhere else that has shown me how much God loves me and has a plan for me as the Mormon faith. I have read, studied, and prayed about the Book of Mormon and over time God has given me an answer of the truth of it. I know that the Book of Mormon and the Bible are the word of God. I believe that God still communicates with his people through prophets, as well as on an individual personal level for each of us. God knows and loves each of his children, and he knows and loves me. He has a plan for each of us. I believe in love, prayer, and miracles, because God is a loving Father who wants to help guide his children's in a way that would provide them with happiness. I believe that in order to help provide his children with happiness god has restored the gospel in these days. As I have learned about and lived the Mormon faith I have found great and lasting happiness, and the love of God to be abundant in my life. I know that God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to provide a way for us to return to him. Christ suffered the atonement not only to rid us of our sins, but also to strengthen us through hard times. Christ and God know each of us as individuals and have provided personal ways for each of us to go through life and return to them.

How I live my faith

My faith as a Christian and as a Mormon has shaped the way I view and treat those around me. I believe that we are all children of God and I should treat those around me with the love that God has for them, and I believe I can do this through service and compassion. In my ward I have served in a few capacities, mostly working with the youth and serving as a music director where I helped lead and choose the music for church services. Through these services I have been able to help those around me, but I have also grown myself in an understanding of God's love for me and for his other children.
