Hi I'm Michael

I'm an Idahoan. I'm a sign salesman with a marketing degree. I'm a father of 5. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Michael. I grew up in a small rural town in Idaho, were I enjoyed playing baseball, football, and wrestling. I loved exploring the mountains and rivers and decided this was a great place to raise a family. I've always enjoyed the outdoors so when my wife and I found an old home nestled in the mountains Idaho we felt this would be a special place, surrounded with wildlife and forest living, to raise our children. After 8 years of living in our wonderful mountain home with our 4 children we were suddenly evacuated on a windy summer afternoon. Our summer of 2012 will never be forgotten. It was the year our house burned down. Even though we lost nearly everything we owned, we learned some valuable lessons that summer. People still care for others, God answers prayers, miracles happen, and trials are meant to make us stronger. All that we have been through has brought us closer together as a family, as a couple and as a community. We were just one of hundreds of families that year that lost their home. Others suffered through the devastation of other forrest fires, some tornadoes and others from hurricanes. I know that our Heavenly Father is mindful of our needs and that he hears and answers our prayers. He has provided us a plan that will bring happiness into our lives if we will choose to follow it. That plan can be found in the scriptures. One of the miracles our family has seen is that we will have a new baby in our family for 2013.

Why I am a Mormon

When my father was a young boy a high school student introduced the gospel of Jesus Christ to his friend, my uncle, who later helped introduce the church to his brother, my father. Growing up in the gospel I was able to learn the important principles of prayer, scripture study and fasting. It was through applying these principles in my life at the age of 18 that led to my own personal conversion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. My prayers were answered and knew through the power of the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon was true, that the Prophet Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the Lord's true church upon the Earth today. With this conviction and spiritual confirmation I later was called and served a 2 year mission of service sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ to many people in British Columbia, and Alberta Canada. Those experiences have helped shape me to become the person I am today.

How I live my faith

I serve as the ward mission leader in my ward. I also teach Sunday school classes to the 15, 16, & 17 year old boys and girls in our ward. I enjoy sharing the gospel with others and have a love for teaching the gospel. I look for opportunities to provide service and love the reward of performing hard work.
