Hi I'm Taryn Faye Warner

I am the oldest in a family of seven kids. I LOVE to play volleyball. I'm proudly a Mormon.

About Me

One of my favorite things to do ever is to play volleyball. I am playing in a club right now and I love it. Volleyball is a way that I get to be with friends, focus on something I love, and sometimes pound a ball! And this year my Dad is my coach so I get to spend some extra bonus time with him. I also love to act. Right now I am participating in a spoof play of Romeo & Juliet at my school. I like to be someone else for a little bit and then go back to being me. I get to be Juliet so that is fun. I like spending time with my family. The little kids in my family are fun to hang out with when we don't fight. I also love to hang out with my friends, read, listen to music, do my hair, and sometimes go on pinterest.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this faith and when I was young leaned on the testimony of my parents to see me through my younger years till I could know for myself. Since then I have sincerely prayed to know if this gospel is true and my answer has been a resounding yes. On multiple occasions I have prayed and asked Heavenly Father if this church is true and my answer each time has not come as a voice saying yes but each time I felt an immense feeling of peace, even at stressful times in my life. I know the lord helps me each time I pray. Another reason I know that this church is true is because my prayers are ALWAYS answered. I lose things a lot and when I pray and ask for the help to find them I usually do within a matter of minutes. Simple things like this tell me that Jesus and Heavenly Father know who I am, know what I need, know what I must do to live with them again in heaven and help me as they see fit to achieve all that I can on earth. I love this gospel with all of my heart because it has helped me so much to know who I am, to know who I can be, and to know that my Father in Heaven and his son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost know these things too.

How I live my faith

I go to a little school with kids in kindergarten through eigth grade. Being the oldest and tallest in my school I feel like people are always watching me. That is one way to motivate me to do what is right all the time and be a good example. I have many opportunities to be an example. I am the oldest in my family so my little brothers and sisters look up to me. My dad is the Bishop so people will watch me from my ward and the little beehives in my ward do too. I like these opportunities because they help me to do what is right. I am preparing to be a missionary. Even though it is five years away I know if I start soon then I'll be really prepared when I go. I have just known since I was really little that I wanted to be a missionary when I turned 21. After conference in October I was excited to find that I could leave to serve the lord 2 years earlier than I previously would have. This was a very exciting thing for me find out. I don't have a calling right now because I'm younger but I try to do all that I can for my young women's class and my ward.
