Hi I'm Ted

I spent twenty-nine years in the US Air Force. I am an orthopaedic surgeon who loves to snowboard. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an orthopaedic surgeon and a retired Air Force Officer. I am a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, and served the men and women of the armed forces for 29 years in uniform. It was my privilege to help many people with their bone and joint needs over the years, and spent time in a combat field hospital caring for wounded soldiers and civilians. After retiring from the Air Force, I took a job where I teach young physicians how to become orthopaedic surgeons; teaching is my passion. I am a father of three wonderful children, and a grandfather of one (soon to be two). I have a sweet wife that loves life and loves to have fun. We enjoy snowboarding together, and have been learning to play golf the last couple of years. I love to be outside and enjoy the beauties of nature, and particularly enjoy the beauties of the mountains in winter.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a personal witness that God has restored His Church in these latter days. As a teenager, I gained a testimony that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God as I read, pondered, and prayed. I received a personal witness of the divinity of that great work, and a knowledge that the Lord speaks to His children through prophets and apostles in these days, just as in days past. I am personally grateful to my Heavenly Father for the tender mercies that I feel in my life, for His blessings, and His love. I know that my Savior atoned for my sins, and the sins of all mankind, so that we might be able to repent of our sins and return to our Father in Heaven, from whence our spirits came. I cannot imagine my life without the influence of the Gospel, and I am so grateful that I have the guidance of the Gospel in all aspects of my life, as it is my guiding force professionally and personally. I know that personal happiness comes as we embrace and live the commandments of God, and serve Him to the best of our capacity!!

How I live my faith

I am blessed to serve with wonderful people in my community, and in my stake (geographic area of the church). I currently serve as a Stake President, and have the opportunity to teach many members, to visit and support the members in various units, and to share my testimony of the gospel with many. I love to visit the homes of the families and individuals in our stake, and share in their joys and challenges. I see the hand of the Lord in the lives of many, and cherish the opportunity to try and strengthen and uplift those that have need and rejoice with those that have been blessed of the Lord. I am humbled by the opportunity to work with so many fine people that selflessly look to bless the lives of others and to help and uplift those around them. I marvel at the goodness of the Lord in the lives of so many, and at the service so freely rendered by the members of our stake. What a blessing to live and serve with such fine men, women, and youth!
