Hi I'm Ali

I'm a slightly awkward college girl who has a plethora of interesting abilities. I'm hilarious, I'm unique, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student, attending BYU-Idaho in Rexburg. I am studying Accounting and Pre-Law. People sometimes laugh when they hear I'm planning on being an accountant because accountants have a reputation of being boring and dull. I am not boring nor dull, but accounting is definitely my calling. I plan on getting my Master's in Accountancy and then possibly gong to law school. I love learning and want to further my knowledge of the subjects I love. My dad is an architect and my mom is a former nurse. She discontinued working when I was little so she could raise a family. She did a pretty stellar job. I am the oldest of three girls. We have a dog named Coco who is the possibly the cutest and most loved dog on the planet. I love my family dearly; they are my best friends. My dad sometimes like to refer to our family as a feuding middle eastern nation-- 3 girls born within 3 1/2 years of each other who have incredibly different personalities; what's not to enjoy? The challenges I face in my life include my Tourette's, my ADHD, my OCD, my anxiety, my depression, and a bunch of other little "isms" that constitute the package of Ali. I am the person I am today -- an amazing, tourette's inflicted, sometimes sailor mouth, obsessive, fashionista, extremely talkative, 21 year old girl-- because of the trials that I have been blessed with and will continue to be blessed with until the day that I die.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ lives. This gospel is a gospel of happiness and our Heavenly Father wants us to return to live with him someday. It's that plain and simple. I know that there are modern day prophets and apostles on this earth today who help lead and guide us. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that while it was written thousands of years ago, it is still applicable to us. We can gain much insight by reading this sacred book. I know that Heavenly Father answers our prayers. He may not answer them the way we want, or when we want, but he will answer them.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by actively participating in church meetings. I currently help my mom out in her calling as a primary teacher for the 4&5 year olds. I think we have way too much fun. I also live my faith by obeying the commandments. I live my faith my reading my scriptures and praying. I live my faith my trying to be an active exemplar of the Golden Rule. And I live my faith by enduring through those challenges that God has given me.
