Hi I'm Bryan Huntsman

I grew up in Shelley Idaho. I'm a physical therapist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 52 years old. I'm a father of five children, four girls and one boy with my beautiful wife Rhona. We now have four grandchildren with one more on the way soon. I'm very involved in the community I grew up in and love living in the Rocky Mountains. I enjoy most all things to do with the outdoors including golf, hunting, fishing, camping etc. I own and operate a private practice physical therapy clinic, Channing Physical Therapy in Idaho Falls. I have been a physical therapist since 1988 having graduated from Texas Women's University in Houston, Texas with a Master's degree in 1988. I was a high school and college wrestling referee for several years I have also been involved with Shelley High School and others taking care of their athletes from 1988 to present. For this service and my background in wrestling i was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall Of Fame in 2011 as the outstanding American from the State of Idaho. I have enjoyed this association with many of the youth in our community and have built great relationships with kids and coaches over the years. My wife and children (including son-in-laws and grandchildren) are my greatest source of pride and satisfaction in my life. No other activity or award can compare to this.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I find peace in my life through the gospel of Jesus Christ and I am grateful He has opened the heavens in our day through a modern Prophet. This gospel has taught me the very nature of my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as well as the purpose of the Holy Ghost. It was during my missionary service as a 19 year old in California that I recognized what it meant to be a follower of Christ as I saw His power change peoples lives including my own. I have also experienced that when I try to submit my will to Him I have felt His recipricating grace in my behalf. I am a long and far cry from perfect but I recognize that through His atoning sacrifice I can someday return and dwell in His presence.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith on a daily basis as these principles and guidelines have been where I have found the most peace and satisfaction in my life. I have spent most of my adult life working with the youth in my church service as a advisor and organizing and carrying out youth activities. i am presently serving on a council involving administrative duties. My real love remains with the youth especially when my kids are involved. I also believe that we all demonstrate our own faith everyday by how we choose to treat others in our daily encounters. There is great peace involved with trying to be what you profess to believe in and not in living a double standard. That being said i also recognize that none of us are perfect and all make mistakes and need to constantly strife for improvement in our daily lives. This is the glad news of Christ's message is that we can be forgiven for our sins and renew our hope and faith through Him. With this brightness of hope we can give of our time and talents as we encounter others on a daily basis.
