Hi I'm Eric

I love giving service. I love my family. I love Texas. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the middle child of 5 siblings. I have lived in Texas all of my life and I love it. The people are all friendly, the culture is vibrant, and there's room for everyone because of how large the state is. As they say, "everything is bigger in Texas." I spend my days going to work, helping my parents out around the house and giving service as much as I can. Some of my hobbies include playing golf, cooking and baking, and I have tried my hand at wood working.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been born and raised in the church. As I have grown up, the lessons I have learned have directly influenced my life in many great ways. I was baptized at the age of eight and received the gift of the Holy Ghost. I have been taught from the bible and the Book of Mormon about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I have come to know them through the power of prayer. Everything I have learned is true. I know it is. That is why I am a Mormon. That is why I attend church every Sunday. Why I have chosen to serve a mission. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true.

How I live my faith

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gives each member, both young and old, the opportunity to serve in the church. When I turned 12 years old, I received the Aaronic Priesthood. From that time on I have served in several presidency for the young men in our separate age groups as I grew older. I was ordained an elder in June of 2012 and received the Melckezidec Priesthood. Since then i have had many other opportunities to serve my fellow members as well as others who are not of the same faith. The next step for me in the church is to serve a mission and I have been called to serve in the Peru Lima South Mission. I look forward to serving the people there and teaching the people of the truths that I have come to know.
