Hi I'm Elder Michael Delahunty

I love hanging out with my family, I am currently serving a mission in the New York, New York North Mission, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to go Skiing in the winter and 4-Wheeling in the summer. I spend a lot of time with my family and love to hang out with them. I recently went to college at SUU to study engineering and had an awesome experience.. I love to play sports with my friends like soccer and frisbee. I also love to play Mario Kart! It's definitely one of my favorite games. I also play the violin and the guitar. I am currently serving a mission in the New York New York North Mission, speaking spanish!

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon means a lot to me. The way I chose to think and act is reflected from the beliefs that I have. Knowing that our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to be back with him motivates me to be better everyday so that I can be. Through Jesus Christ and his atonement for us, we can return to be with Him. I have a testimony that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and that it gives me guidance and direction in my life to make me better. Through the study of the Book of Mormon and by listening to the Prophet, I lead my life in the direction which makes me happy, and also makes Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ happy. I know that the fullness of the gospel was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. I have a testimony of the power of the Priesthood. Through the Priesthood, miracles can be performed and mighty changes can be made. Through faith in Jesus Christ, anything is possible. I am grateful to my Great Great Grandfather, who chose to send his family over to America to be part of the Church, to make his posterity's life better, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

In my community, I go to the temple and do baptisms with friends or other members. Something I also do, especially in the winter, is go around and do small service projects, like shovel the snow off of neighbors driveways or sidewalks, or help move some furniture around. When needed, i go to members houses who weren't able to make it to church due to sickness or old age, and give them the sacrament at their home. I also go around and visit some families from my ward and check up on how they are doing, and if they need help with anything. I love to be part of my community!
