Hi I'm Corey Anderson

I'm a dad, a racquetball enthusiast, love the culture around root beer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Canada before moving to the United States with my mother when I was 10. I graduated from Brigham Young University in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. I married Pam Anderson, have 3 beautiful children, and currently reside in Kirkland, WA I enjoy collecting old Norman Rockwell Magazines, playing racquetball to stay in shape (sometimes it even works), and making and drinking gourmet root beer. I grew up making root beer with my dad, and enjoy the hobby and culture surrounding that beverage.

Why I am a Mormon

The science and complexity of the world denote there is a God. I never doubted there was a supreme being, creator, or grand organizer--so I have always believed in God, yet earlier in my life I was confused as to which church was His on the earth. Knowing most all churches today have been formed or developed by man, I came to believe in the Restoration of the Gospel as believed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. By that, I mean this church has not been created by man, but has been restored from Christ's original church including a modern prophet on the earth, apostles, missionaries, temples, ongoing scripture, etc. The original priesthood keys from Peter, James, and John were bestowed on the modern prophet Joseph Smith--and are transferred today throughout our church by the laying on of hands (hands laid upon ones head) through prayer. Furthermore, the Book of Mormon further testifies of Jesus Christ and his teachings in the American Continent after his death in Jerusalem. I have felt the Spirit of the Holy Ghost whisper to me that the Book of Mormon is a true record...and having been brought forth by the Prophet Joseph Smith, I know he is a true prophet of God. All are challenged to read The Book of Mormon and pray about it to come to the same belief I have.

How I live my faith

I know God lives, and dedicate my time and heart towards his church here on earth--The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a part of the church youth program, I have worked for years with the Boy Scouts of America and in the Priesthood with young men 11-18 years old. I love serving in the church, but also strive to live my life in accordance with his teachings. I do not work on Sunday, and strive daily to be honest in all my dealings to maintain the character the Lord would want me to have. I serve in the community where I can, and have many opportunities to donate to charitable organizations through my business. Down the road I hope to do more to provide shelter solutions for those living on the street.
