Hi I'm Brian Jeffrey Gruenewald

I lived in El Paso, TX for 16 years before going to Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher, AZ, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi. I'm 19 years old (20 in two-and-a-half months). I'm a music major at Eastern Arizona College. I play the clarinet and piano, and I also sing bass. If I worked harder at it, I could be a pretty good beatboxer. I'm crazy about choir music and doing a cappella stuff, which explains why I love listening to music by Eric Whitacre and Pentatonix. Besides music, I like to play basketball and football, make and eat food, hang out with friends, write poetry, watch movies, do voice impersonations of actors and regular people, use social media, laugh, and just have fun with life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church, but I didn't have my own testimony of it until I was about 16 years old. I went to a youth camp in Utah one summer, and that experience changed my life forever. It was then that I realized just how real God is, how much I need Him, how much He loves me, how true the Church and its gospel is, and things like that. Since then my faith has been tried significantly. Even though life has gotten so much harder now that I'm an adult going to college and living on my own, and also after having experienced some of life's greatest trials during this time, it was - and is - my faith in my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, that keeps me going. I may not know what the Lord has in store for me or anyone else, but He does. I know He loves us very much.

How I live my faith

I'm the music supervisor and pianist for my Young Single Adult ward. Last year I served as a Family Home Evening group leader.
