Hi I'm Emma

I'm from Rexburg Idaho. I love humanities and art in any form. I'm also a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student at BYU-I and I am majoring in Humanities with a minor in Chinese. Chinese is a very different language from English but it is extremely fun to learn. I love to dance, sing, draw and I play the trumpet. I was also a drum major for a marching band. I also had the opportunity to travel around Japan on a two week tour when I was a Sophomore. My mother recently remarried, almost seven years after my father died. I'm getting slowly used to the idea of a step-father. He is a very nice man and we have similar interests but the transition is difficult.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born in the church but when I was about seventeen I reached a point in my life where I had to decide what I wanted for my life. I had tried doing different things and looked for answers outside the church but I always came back to the simple doctrines of this faith. Once I felt what it was like to be forgiven by Christ from all of my sins I didn't want to go back to wandering. I found truth and I found myself again. I know that this church is true and that we can be forgiven and we can change through our Lord Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to participate in my church meetings and by getting along with those in my apartment complex. We all go to church together so it is important to be kind and to make friends with everybody. In one of my meetings I got to lead the music and I hope they let my do that every week because it is fun for me.
