Hi I'm Nick

I'm a soccer player. I hope to become a doctor just like my dad. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up a cowboy with my grandpa. I have always loved riding horse and going to the rodeo. I have played soccer competitively since I was very young and I love the sport so much I built a soccer field in Mexico for my Eagle Scout project. I love to perform for people. I have been in a singing and dancing group for many years and have toured the country performing for all sorts of people. I play the guitar, ukelele, piano and have taken voice lessons for many years. I am currently working on a Neuroscience major at BYU and hoping to minor in Mandarin Chinese. I want to be a surgeon just like my dad.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? My parents are both members so I grew up surrounded by the church. I came to know Christ at a very young age when I visited Israel and Egypt. I can't remember a time when I didn't have a testimony of Christ. However, my testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints did not come until later in my life. There was a very difficult time in my life when I was surrounded by hardships. I had a hard time understanding why God would allow this. I spent the entire summer reading the Book of Mormon and when I had finished I knelt down to pray. I asked to know if the Book of Mormon was true and if I was doing the right thing. The answer came clear as day: "You already know the answer Nick. You know it's true." From then on I have continued to pray whenever I have questions or doubts and I have never had a question go unanswered. I know it is the only church on earth that contains ALL of the truth and I know it is Christ's church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always asking myself "What would Christ do?" I try to always remember Christ in everything I do and I always try to say prayers throughout the day. I look for opportunities to share my testimony throughout every day. I have held many callings in my priesthood quorums. I helped plan activities for scouting and mutual. I love to go out and serve people and I look for opportunities to help others. I helped my family all get to Mexico for charity projects over Christmas break recently and it was an amazing experience.
